Participate in motions

Task: How to participate in motions if you have joined the meeting from a computer and cell phone or tablet

Instructions 

Movers and seconders

1. When asked to move or second a motion, raise your virtual hand by pressing the "Reactions" button
2. Click on the blue "Raise Hand" button (dial *9 on a telephone)
3. Keep it raised and when the mover and seconder have been verbally identified, click on the blue "Lower Hand" button

All in favour or opposed

By show of hands

1. When the chairperson asks for everyone in favour to raise their hand, press the "Reactions" button
2. Click on the blue "Raise Hand" button 
3. Keep it raised and when the mover and seconder have been verbally identified, click on the blue "Lower Hand" button
4. If you are voting in opposition, wait for the chair to ask for everyone opposed and then follows steps 1-3 above 

  By a poll

The chairperson might do all in favour or opposed through a quick poll vote. If your on a computer (integrated voting portal), phone or tablet (Zoom app), a poll box will pop up on your screen after the mover and seconder are identified. 

1. Select the circle by the appropriate response
2. Press the blue "Submit" button on the bottom of the poll pop-up box
3. The poll pop up box ill disappear
4. When the host shares the results of the poll, it will re-appear on your screen
