Setting a Unit as Ineligible
Instructions
Once you have received confirmation of which voters are not eligible to participate in voting for the virtual meeting:
- Head to the Membership tab in the meeting card of the GetQuorum dashboard.
- Check off the box on the left for the corresponding unit with a paper proxy (or ineligible to vote).
- Once you have checked off all of the units, click on Bulk Actions >> Mark as Ineligible.
- Choose the corresponding reason as to why the units are ineligible (arrears, etc.)
- To confirm the units you've added, use the filter buttons to see the list of units you marked as ineligible.
▶ Only got one unit to mark? Locate the unit under the Membership tab, click on Mark as Ineligible, and choose the appropriate reason for ineligibility.
Regranting Voting Rights
- Suppose an owner has ultimately been deemed eligible to vote at the meeting (i.e. they paid off their outstanding balance).
- In that case, you can grant eligibility status by simply clicking on the "X" ineligible_reason under the unit.
FAQ
1. What if an ineligible voter has a proxy on record?
Once you have set the unit to ineligible, votes for any candidates or bylaws will not be included in the counts. However, the proxy will be counted in the overall submission number for quorum. You can choose to revoke the proxy entirely, or you can leave it on record for quorum purposes only.
To revoke the proxy, click on the trash can icon under the proxy submission for the unit.
