Setting up Voting Questions
- It is best practice to set up the Live Vote questions before the meeting!
- To do so, open the Questions Tab of the Meeting Card.
- Once you are there, click on the "+ Copy all to Live Vote" button. The questions from advance voting will appear in the Live Vote Questions section below that.
- Alternatively, you can press the three dots on the right-hand side to hand-select which advanced votes you'd like turned into live voting questions.
- Note: if you are running an owner-occupied election, click here to how to set up the voting question.
Starting the Voting Period
- When it's time to vote and the questions have been added to the live vote, we recommend reminding owners one last time to self-revoke their proxy if they would like to vote live.
- Once you're ready to begin the live vote, you will need to close the proxy revocation period.
- Then, click on the green Start button and select the length of time you want the question to be open for.
- If more than one question is voted on in a voting period, repeat this step for each question in the voting period.
- Note: once you have started the voting, the voting portal will refresh automatically for voters
Extending a Voting Period
Occasionally, you may find that you need to extend the voting period for more than 5 minutes. You can do this under the Questions tab in the GQ dash.
- While the timer is still running, click on the ellipses on the right. You'll see an option to Extend Voting.
- In the window pop-up, click on the amount of time you would like to extend voting by.
- If there is more than one question that needs to be extended, click on Actions under Live Vote Questions and choose Extend Voting (All).
- Select the amount of time you want to extend for all active questions.
Ending a Voting Period Early
If you notice that all votes have been received, you can stop the voting period earlier if needed.
- Under the Questions tab in the GQ dash, click on the timer for the running question(s)
- In the pop-up, click on Stop to stop the timer.
- You will need to do this for each question.
